Quantum Hall effect and Fermi surface instabilities in (TMTSF) 2ClO4

2014 Peaks in magnetoresistance at the same magnetic field as the steps in the Hall voltage are observed in (TMTSF)2ClO4. These measurements were performed between 0.1 and 1.2 K, in magnetic fields up to 8.3 T, on a sample having a resistivity ratio R(T = 300 K, H = 0)/R(T ~ 0, H ~ 0) > 1 600. These results are discussed within a model associating the quantum Hall effect with phase transitions. J.
